Welcome new team members

We’re grateful to have expanded the team with a new full time team member, a new advisor, and an intern that are helping us to keep pace and to deepen our connections and contributions to the work councils are moving in their communities across the state.

Jamilla Hawkins
Jamilla Hawkins, Senior Program Manager for Food & Community Development at the NC Rural Center, joined our team in December 2017 as an advisor on Economic Development in Food Systems and Rural Communities. Jamilla’s experience with communities across North Carolina from the context of food and farming brings great perspective for our work.
