Advocating for a Budget that Puts People First
Advocating for a Budget that Puts People First
The policy landscape is moving quickly at both state and federal levels. On April 15th–Tax Day–the NC Budget and Tax Center (NCBTC) hosted an Advocacy Day, urging lawmakers to support a budget that values people over corporate profits!
While traditional metrics like GDP, unemployment, stock markets, & worker productivity measure how the economy is doing, NCBTC is pushing for a narrative that centers well-being through measures like health, education, housing, environmental quality, and overall life satisfaction.
