Aligning Values and Practices Toward a Better Food System: A Summer Vacation with PeoplesHub
This past summer, PeoplesHub — an online learning community for resourcing progressive action — invited Community Food Strategies to pilot a potentially new educational offering. Seventeen weeks spent exploring Solidarity Economics as a place-based economic, political, and social orientation resulted in tailoring our offerings at this year’s Statewide Food Gathering for better value alignment, internal and external reflections on better aligning values and practices within our organization and how we show up for our brilliant network members, as well as strategizing ways we want to dedicate time in 2026 to evolve our support for regional equitable food ecosystem efforts.
We’re super excited for what this means for us and our work and we’re incredibly thankful for PeoplesHub’s generous support and vision. Stay tuned to our Solidarity Economies page and other Community Food Strategies communications for developments.
