Ali is a food justice and solidarity economy advocate. She has a passion and dedication for transforming our food systems to reflect the values of equity, care, participation, dignified work, food as a human right, and climate-smart practices. Ali believes that a food system where all humans, creatures, waters, and land can thrive is not only possible but necessary.
Ali has experience working with food councils, farm to early care and education (F2ECE) projects, on small diversified farms, managing community garden programs, and youth engagement. Her life and work experiences are supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Food Systems and Society. In her free time, Ali enjoys exploring outside with her toddler, being in proximity to water, and concocting garden and kitchen magic.
