Center for Environmental Farming Systems &
The NC Local Food Council
I am a recent graduate of UNC-CH with a degree in health policy and management, and a more recent graduate of a season-long apprenticeship at the Dickinson College Farm in Central PA. Through my public health education, my community education with the Community Empowerment Fund and the Jackson Center, and my time on the farm, I have developed a strong commitment to community food justice work with a focus on racial equity. I am excited to learn how to support the movements happening in our NC food systems and how we can use storytelling, creativity, and racial equity principles to reflect the fact that food is a human right.
Outside of work, I enjoy making birthday cards, roasting vegetables, reading cookbooks, and watching Ratatouille.
